Kaplan turbine
Kaplan turbine is widely used in a hydro power stations with the head of 2-30 meters.It is equipped with a vertical axle.There are three different types of this kind in which there is anopen trough or apressure trough or closed concrete worm-shelltrough.The turbine is made up of several propellers or manualy-ajusted blades.The water pipe at the end is vertical cone-shaped or elbow-shaped.The turbine with a diameter of 1000mm is vertical coneshaped.Therefore,it is fit for a small hydro power station with low head and load.
Francis Turbine
Francis turbine is widely used in a hydro power stations with the head of 20-300 meters.It has a worm-shell structure which can make water in it flow easily and smoothly.Therefore,it is regarded as a type of trubine with high efficiency.Although it looks simple,it works well.
Pelton Turbine
Pelton Turbine is used in hydropower plants with middle and high water head, generally ranging from 90 m to 600 m, the maximum water head can reach 1200 m. It can be divided into single nozzle type and multiple nozzle type.
